About Tubidy

Tubidy is a free, mobile-first music search website. Type a song title, artist or music video, and Tubidy shows matching results that you can play instantly.

What Tubidy does

Tubidy uses the YouTube Data API to search YouTube's public music catalogue and shows the results in a clean, simple list with thumbnails and song lengths. When you choose a song, it plays in YouTube's official embedded player.

What Tubidy does not do

Tubidy does not host, store, convert or download any audio or video files. All playback happens through YouTube, under YouTube's own terms.

Our articles

The Tubidy editorial team writes practical guides on using Tubidy and on South African music, from amapiano and gqom to gospel and maskandi. Read them in the Tubidy articles section.

Independent site

Many websites use the Tubidy name. This site is independently run and is not affiliated with other Tubidy sites, with YouTube or with Google.
